Change for Community
We are excited to announce that the Lower Columbia Hispanic Council has been chosen for Astoria Co-op’s Change for Community Program, for the month of July!
Astoria Co-op’s Change for the Community Program reaps big rewards for the community and planet. Each quarter, three organizations are recipients of the reusable bag credits and each month one of those organizations gets a turn at being a round-up recipient. Last year, they raised $7,359 in donations! The program also incentivized the use of more 38,000 reusable bags.
There are three ways for you to help us raise funds: round up your co-op purchase total to the nearest dollar, bring a bag and donate your reusable bag credit (in the form of a bean worth 5¢), or share your pocket change!
