Support Group for Latinx Survivors of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault

by Andrea Gonzalez on January 28, 2019

This support group for Latinx survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault provides participants with a safe environment in which they are able to share and receive support around their experiences of violence. The goal is to provide psycho educational support to survivors in their own language, so they can feel welcome, included and supported in the process of healing the trauma they have suffered and also provide them with some tools so that they can be able to understand the trauma and its processes while providing tools such as learning to identify triggers and discover strategies of safe coping that they can use during the healing process and that they manage to get rid of negative and self-destructive compartments and in this way move on with their lives.

This free and confidential support group is open to Latinx survivors of recent or past violence, join our SUPPORT group to learn about coping and healing among peers.
